THE FAMILY OF FAITH is the phrase most often
used to describe FAITH
LUTHERAN CHURCH. With members coming from a wide geographical radius
and a rich diversity of backgrounds and life experiences, Faith seeks to
live together as a FAMILY.
We believe that the Gospel calls us to put people ahead of structures and
content ahead of form. With this as background, the FAMILY continually
seeks to find ways to help people grow in their faith and proclaim the Gospel
of
Jesus Christ through a servant ministry.
The Family of Faith is a Christ-centered servant community
that strives to be loving, forgiving, healing and affirming
as it continues to seek new opportunities to proclaim
the good news of Jesus Christ to the world. Sustained
by the Holy Spirit, we worship, serve, learn and grow
together by sharing God's gifts of our time, talents and
treasure. |

Organized in Summit in 1897, Faith relocated to the New Providence area in 1957,
erecting its sanctuary in 1962 and completing its educational unit in 1967. With
over 800 members and mission support in excess of one million dollars, Faith
has an active program of nurture for its members and care for its community and
the world around. It shares over $400,000 a year in local and global benevolence
and mission support.
A growing community of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America, the Family
of Faith is first and foremost a worshipping and serving community.
