Prayers for Those in harm's way during this time of war...

We pray to you, almighty God, in this time of war. You are our refuge and our strength, a very present help in time of trouble. Do not let us fail in the face of these events. Uphold us with your love, and give us the strength we need. Help us in our confusion, and guide our actions. Heal the hurt, console the bereaved and afflicted, protect the innocent and helpless, and deliver any who are still in peril; for the sake of your great mercy in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Faith reaches out to our troops...

Cell Phones for Soldiers... Faith is collecting old cell phones for an organization that converts these old resources into calling cards that are given to the troops.

Slimline Bibles have been mailed to the troops listed above.  A reminder that they are in our prayers and in God's care.

DVDs, Video games, and VHS were mailed last summer to the Thundering Third Battallion (of which Sgt. George Rapciewitz is a member).  A fire in their recreation tent destroyed their movies, etc.  Whereas the equipment was going to be replaced the videos were not.  Throughout the summer, folks from Faith brought in movies to send over there.  The Thundering Third is currently stateside after many months in the war zone.

Support the Troops.  Joey Ellis, one of our high school Peer Leaders, prepared care packages for members of the local New Jersey National Guard unit which was sent to Iraq.  This collection occured in the fall of 2004.
